Friends of the Longview Public Library
What is a Friend?
The Friends of the Longview Public
Library is an organization of people who support the Longview Public
Library with their ideas,
their skills, their time, and their voices!
What do Friends do?
- Raise money for materials and equipment that
the Library cannot afford to buy with its regular budget.
- Supply funds for summer reading activities
and other Library events.
- Assist with childrens programs by helping
with crafts, serving treats, and making cookies.
- Conduct the annual book sale, Mothers Day
rose sale, and freeway coffee stops.
- Provide library programs which focus on special
audiences: annual holiday concert for senior citizens, parent programs,
author
programs.
